This notice describes the processing associated with visiting Simone Tinella's portfolio at portfolio.simonetinella.it. The site has no accounts, contact forms or advertising.

To serve the pages, the hosting provider AlterVista receives technical data normally sent by a browser, including IP address, request date and time, requested page and browser information. AlterVista may retain this data in technical logs under its service terms. These data are used to deliver the site and ensure its operation and security; the controller's legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Email contact

If you email us, we process your email address and message to reply and follow up on your request. Depending on the request, the legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps at your request or our legitimate interest in managing the communication. Messages are kept for as long as necessary to handle the request and any follow-up, unless the law requires longer retention. Contacting us is optional, but we cannot reply without your contact details.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits, viewed pages, broad traffic sources and site performance in aggregate form. The service does not use cookies, localStorage or other browser identifiers and does not build individual profiles. Cloudflare receives the IP address as part of an ordinary network request but says it discards it at the nearest data center without storing it in the service's logs or databases. Aggregate statistics can be viewed in the dashboard for the preceding six months.

The provider is Cloudflare, Inc.; request processing may also take place outside the European Economic Area. Read more about how the beacon works and in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Cookies and external links

The code for this portfolio does not set its own cookies or profiling cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies. The hosting platform may use its own technical tools, described in the AlterVista notice linked above. This setup does not include advertising tools that require a consent banner.

Links to LinkedIn, GitHub and other external sites are activated only when you open them; those services' privacy notices then apply.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restrict its processing or object to it by writing to the email address above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority. This portfolio does not use automated decision-making or profiling.
